How to Secure a Professor's Acceptance Letter for China Scholarships (2026 Guide)
The Email That Gets a Reply: Securing an Acceptance Letter
For any Master's or PhD applicant targeting the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), one document holds mythical power: the Supervisor's Acceptance Letter.
It acts as a golden ticket. It tells the university admissions committee: "A professor here already wants this student on their team."
Before emailing professors, make sure you know which scholarship track (Type A vs Type B) you are applying for. Read our 2026 Ultimate Scholarship Database first.
Step 1: The 3-Paper Rule (Do Not Skip)
Most students fail because they spam generic emails. To get a reply, you must prove you are relevant. Before sending anything, follow this rule:
- Find the professor on the university website (Use our AI Assistant to find the right department).
- Read the Abstracts of their last 3 published papers.
- Ask yourself: "Does my research proposal actually align with what they are doing right now?"
Step 2: The Subject Line
Professors are busy. If your subject line is vague, it gets deleted.
"I want to apply"
"Scholarship Inquiry"
"Student from [Country]"
"CSC 2026 Applicant: Research Proposal regarding [Professor's Paper]"
Step 3: The "Sandwich" Template
Use this structure. It is polite, direct, and professional. Copy, paste, and CUSTOMIZE the bracketed sections.
